Today is one of the last days of the post production. Chris is working hard, giving the images the colors they deserve.
Today, the Trans*Tapes were featured on the radioshow Pink Terrorists. We can write all about it, but is much better to just click the link below and listen to it yourself. The interview is in Dutch.
Aiste's Trans*Tape is finished and today we released the teaser of her Tape.
Scenes of Jackson's, Suzanne's and Layne's Trans*Tape are now on display at the Amsterdam Museum!
Yesterday, Susanne's Trans*Tape was screened at UWV's symposium, about Transgender and Work.
Last Saturday, we distributed our promotional material at Blent Trans Festival. Bart was invited to be part of a panel to speak about being transgender and having a relationship.
We made postcards to promote the Trans*Tape series. They arrived today. Chris made this crazy gif to celebrate the moment.
Tomorrow Jonah, Chris and Bart will go to the Amsterdam Museum to record a voice-over. Today we are preparing our texts.
Bart started editing the final portrait of our series. Nathan's Tape.
This is the way the edit-process goes.
Meet Frederik, having a fresh look at the Trans*Tapes. He helps us at the end of the edit process to see if things are unclear and if there is a way we can make the Tapes better.
The foundation that supported the Trans*Tapes held an interview with us about the documentaries and the idea behind the project. You can read the interview when you click on Jackson here:
The Trans*Tape we made of Susanne Schattenberg is finished and has already been screened on diverse locations. To thank her and wish her well, we sent her flowers. Stay tuned for the wrap of Aiste's Trans*Tape!
Next Thursday is the first viewing of the Trans*Tape of Susanne.
Bart is stressing this weekend to finish it on time.
Bart's neighbor Jinte hasn't had much luck with her transition. She was diagnosed with a rare condition that gives her an allergic reaction to chemical hormones, as well as everything else chemically produced.
This is why she was not able to wear a wig for a year. The synthetic hair gives her an allergic reaction. After a successful crowd funding campaign she was able to get a new wig with natural hair. Today she received one that she can borrow for the holiday season. In February her own specially customized wig will be ready.
Watch this video to see her excitement.
With this amazing sunset at Scheveningen beach we wrapped the taping of our six portraits. We are extremely happy with the footage and are honored to have worked with such beautiful and candid people. Into the edit we go!
Today we visited the highest rooftop of The Hague to film Nathan and the city he lives in. Tomorrow will be the last day of our filming adventure. After that it's time to let the magic happen in the editroom.
A long but great day of filming with Susanne in the pocket. Some amazing shots were made, including a disco bicycle session.
Today we interviewed the beautiful Aiste. She spoke about her Lithuanian and Russian background and much more. But we'll keep that a secret for now. Would you like to know more? Stay tuned! Next month the teaser will be available on this website.
Here is some test footage with the Sony Slow Motion Camera. Everybody does what they do best: Chris is jumping, Jonah is vogue-ing and Bart is smiling. Of course with cameos of production dogs Olle and Flow.
